Access guides the way with two big wins

  —   22 May 2011   —   Access News

Manchester based creative agency Access Advertising, Design and Marketing is celebrating a double account win this month after securing the contract to design and produce visitor guides for two of the Northwest's biggest tourist boards: The Mersey Partnership (TMP) and Visit Chester & Cheshire (VCC).

These two new wins further bolster Access' reputation as tourism marketing specialists, adding to the roster of travel and tourism clients which also include Isle of Man ferry operator the Steam Packet Company, Visit Peak District & Derbyshire and Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry.

The Visit Chester & Cheshire Visitor Guide is particularly exciting for Access as this is VCC's biggest annual publication and it's also the first year the tourist board will take complete control of production, as the guide was previously produced by the council. Access beat off over 10 agencies from across the UK to produce the 100-page guide which will promote Chester and Cheshire as the short break destination of choice.

The Mersey Partnership 2008 Visitor Guide allows Access to build on the great work they have produced while managing the guide for the last two years. Access is tasked with further evolving the guide, adding a new, fresh look for 08, whilst also finding a way to integrate it with TMP's new corporate branding strategy. The guide will be particularly significant in TMP's bid to attract visitors to the city as Liverpool celebrates its coveted title as the 2008 European Capital of Culture.

Simon Landi, Managing Director at Access comments on the new projects: "I am very excited about these two new project wins; they mark an exciting time for the future of Access. After internal consultation, we have re-focused Access' service offering, making home interest and travel and tourism marketing Access specialities. We have built close relationships with all our clients over the years and I hope that with our new-found focus, we can become more pro-active in our working and these partnerships will continue to flourish."
