We're proud to announce the appointment of Sunny Deo as our new Creative Director. Following the retirement of long-standing CD, Sarah Parker. Deo’s acquisition sparks a bold new era for our agency.
From Europe to MENA and APAC, Deo is renowned for being a strong team leader and creative strategist, and has been at the helm of numerous pitch wins and integrated campaigns for General Motors, McDonald’s, Emirates, Fox and Samsung. In 2013 he was head hunted by Grey Group Asia Pacific to help lead the global rebranding of GSK’s Panadol out of their new HQ in Singapore.
Other previous roles have seen him working at Leo Burnett, BBDO, Ogilvy One Worldwide and Y&R. Along that journey he has picked up over 100 international awards for creativity, which include NYF, Spikes Asia, several Effies and the first ever Cannes Lions for Leo Burnett Dubai in 2011 – two silvers in Radio and Scriptwriting.
Now, with his globetrotting days firmly behind him, he’s looking forward to placing his roots back in his hometown of Manchester.
“Personally, this is the greatest challenge of my career. But the real opportunity is for all of us at Access, and our clients, to embrace this journey together and get to where we all want to be. My strategic vision for the agency is clear and our ambitions are in sync. Now it’s all about creating standout work that consistently delivers on brand strategy. And, of course, we’re going to have fun every step of the way up!” – Sunny Deo
In line with his vision, one of his first priorities as Creative Director will be to further bolster the agency’s client portfolio and, in turn, expand the creative team.
“Sunny’s experience of working with a host of big agencies and household names excited us. However, what was more impressive was his overall vision for our creative output and direction, and that sealed it! We recently launched an ambitious new three-year growth strategy for the business which placed creativity at its heart, and with Sunny’s appointment I’m confident he’ll make a huge impact.” – Simon Landi, MD of Access.
